Her Foot Is Healed During a Healing Class

Last month, Marie and I had the privilege of ministering at a Spanish-speaking Vineyard church near Washington, D.C. We were invited to lead a Prophetic and Healing Workshop. While we had completed the prophetic portion, I realized we were running out of time for the healing segment due to the additional time needed for translation. With only a few minutes left in the church's building reservation, we quickly shifted to a very quick healing prayer demonstration.

I asked if anyone in the room was experiencing pain. Several raised their hands, but I had noticed a woman limping earlier and invited her forward. She shared that she had injured her foot almost a year ago in an accident, and despite medical treatment, it had not healed properly. Doctors were unsure why and had no clear next steps. She was understandably discouraged.

As I prayed for her, I explained each step to the group. I simply invited the Holy Spirit to move and commanded the pain to leave. Afterward, I asked her to test it. Her eyes lit up—she said the pain was nearly gone! We prayed a second time, using the same approach, and this time, the pain completely disappeared. She jumped up, took a few steps, and burst into tears. “It doesn’t hurt!” she exclaimed.

That brief 10-minute healing session became the highlight of the day. God showed up in a powerful way, and I couldn’t help but feel that He delights in revealing His power when we step out in faith.

Equipping the saints to do ministry is our greatest joy. There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing someone pray for the first time or give a prophetic word and realize, “God can use me!” Strengthening the church through Holy Spirit ministry and demonstrating God’s power is central to our calling.
